Convoying with Steve Miller (TX) yesterday we decided to play the middle ground in Oklahoma sticking with I40 early on and staying ahead of the dryline. We felt our southern option in southwest OK would fire, but perhaps after dark.
Ended up getting on a storm that formed right on I40 and moved north to Kingfisher where we split up and I got this great rotating wall cloud on video. It really tried, just never produced. Stayed with it all the way to the other side of Stillwater!
After that decided to drop down and catch storms that had now formed in the southern target. Played around with that before calling it a night.
Ended up staying the night in Moore, OK at the Miller Bar & Suites where Steve joined me and the other Steve Miller (OK) (I know it confuses me too!) where we are just hanging out today and anticipating a chase in Central Texas tomorrow. More on that later…

That storm looked good on radar for a while there. Things were certainly moving fast out there, but then seemed to slow down a little, later on.
I still can’t get over the quality of that video, even on youtube. I need a not crappy video camera!
