03/31/08 Storm Chasing

Currently heading south down I35 from OKC toward the Red River area. Short on time fot details but tornado potential is good today. Storms have already been ongoing this morning, but I feel better potential for more discrete activity to be south of the current activity now in Oklahoma.

ChaseCam is now LIVE!

Updates when I get a chance…

Thank you, thank you, thank you! The live cam ROCKS! My ‘stormchases’ consist of GRLevel3/Allison House from my computer chair *laffs*…..Being a car-less, sole supporter of the household ‘po-folk’….what you’re doing here gives folks like me a chance to see a little of what we’d LIKE TO SEE and be a part of…but can’t. THANK YOU!!!

7.20pm Central: watched you drive through some incredible crap. Then you quickly pulled off and stopped. Only then could I tell that you were sheltering from big hail. A large truck pulled up next to you then you panned to the ambulance and a few seconds later the feed cut out. I want my money back!

7.30: normal service resumed. Did you go back north? I’m looking at some nasty stuff south of McAlester, OK.

We actually had Mazzios next door! LOL Thanks for watching everyone. One of these days I’ll get a tornado live on that! Another chase closer to home day after tomorrow looks like. I’ll post a recap later when I stop for the night.

Quite awesome, my friend. I’m jealous. 🙂 This definitely redefines “armchair chasing”, eh? I need to get that setup myself…hopefully.

That was some pretty nice hail wasn’t it Chris. Glad I found some cover there. I suspect that ambulance took some dings. You just missed it, I held up the hail and a quarter beside each other in front of the camera!
