2008 is now the deadliest tornado season since 1998, with 96 people confirmed dead so far this year from tornadoes.  The latest tornado outbreak happened on May 10th, 2008, starting in southeast Kansas and easter Oklahoma, and moving southeast into Missouri and Arkansas, who was hit for yet a 4th time this year by a round of tornadoes.

Several communities suffered damage from tornadoes on Saturday, but the hardest hit were Picher, OK; Racine, MO; and Stuttgart, AR. These tornadoes were rated EF4 and EF3 respectively. The same tornado that hit Picher also hit Racine.  This tornado was on the ground for 75 miles, and at one point had a satellite tornado that went on to join the main tornado, which then grew to nearly a mile wide as it moved from Oklahoma into Missouri.
